SEEDS of Early Literacy - DAY 1

Description

SEEDS of Early Literacy is a nationally recognized Professional Development Curriculum, developed by Minnesota's own Kate Horst, for teachers and caregivers of young children.  Participants will learn about scientifically based reading research (SBRR) regarding early literacy for 3-5 year olds.

Participants will also learn how to:
 
  • Create a literacy-rich learning environment
  • Provide explicit learning opportunities in the daily routine 
  • Recognize the stages of learning for second language learners
  • Promote language development
  • Develop readers and writers by knowing developmental stages in each
  • Incorporate technology
  • Become a SEEDS quality teacher
This is a three day training: Friday, September 19th, Friday, October 3rd, and Friday, November 7th.
 
This is an approved Parent Aware Training
