This workshop is designed to be an engaging experience for School District Technology Directors, Coordinators, Integration Facilitators and Support Staff.

 
Schedule for the Day
9:00 to 9:30 – Open Networking, Registration and Refreshments

9:30 – Welcome

10:30 to 12:00 - Breakout Sessions

Technology Coordinators:
  • Administering your own Cloud – We will take a look at SharePoint 2013 and how it can be used in your school to offer an in-house cloud storage and collaboration solution. Tips and tricks to ensure that your implementation of SharePoint will be shared during this session. We will also take a look at a new solution available for ensuring that the data stored in your environment is backed up and replicated in a secure format.
Technology Integrationists:
  • The standards for Technology Coaching – we will be reviewing the ISTE Standards for “Coaches” which is the ISTE term for Technology Integration specialists, facilitators and coaches. Detailed discussion will focus around the concept of “technology, coaching and the community” as well as classroom walkthroughs and validations of successful technology integration.
11:00 to 12:00 – Considerations on Emerging Technologies
Everyone:
  • This will be a fast-paced collaboration session during which a number of cutting-edge technology developments will be discussed. We’ll take a look at technologies that will potentially impact all aspects for education technology from the instructional to administrative realm.
12:00 to 12:45 – Lunch and Peer Networking

12:45 to 2:30 – What is Digital Transformation?

  • This will be a hands-on and engaging discussion focused on the ever-evolving face of education technology. So what is Digital Transformation? In EdTech, we like to call it a platform for continual evolution in pedagogy and culture. We will evaluate what Digital Transformation on a number of levels including Student and Educator Outcomes, Culture, Infrastructure and the role of the school technology leader.

Cancellations must be received by 4:30 p.m. on April 6 to qualify for a full refund, after which all registrations are final and no refunds will be issued.  Substitution of attendees from the same district/organization will be allowed up to the day of the event.  In the event a workshop is cancelled by the Service Cooperative, a full refund will be given.  An email address that is accessed often must be included when registering to ensure receipt of any cancellation notifications.
