Two-Day Workshop Goals
• Raise awareness of the value of strategic and communications planning
• Provide school district leadership teams with sample communication plan outlines
• Assist participants with development of a specific communication plan for their district
• Assist participants with development of specific follow-up strategies for local implementation, follow-up and evaluation

Day 1 - Joint Session -- October 12th, 9am - 3pm, Woodland Elementary School, Alexandria

Day 1 is for district team members from both Lakes Country and SWWC areas.  Topics include:  School District Communication Needs, Foundation of a Strategic Communication Plan, Strategic Communication Planning and Creating Your Districts Plan.

Day 2 - LCSC Region --  November 2nd - 9am - 1:30pm, LCSC, Fergus Falls

Day 2 - SWWC Region -- November 23rd - 9am - 1:30pm, SWWC, Marshall

This is a half-day session to follow-up on your communication plan implementation progress.  Topics include: Report Progress by District ... Adapting Your Plans ... and Next Steps.

Districts teams could include the superintendent, school board members, principals, teachers, website manager, those who post on social media for the district, etc.  Each team member needs to register separately.

Prerequisite: We will be sending a link to a pre-session content survey to all registered participants in advance.  Survey data and trends will be used to shape workshop content.  An audit form will be sent to each group’s designated leader with directions for preparation prior to the series.

*Space is limited to 17 teams.  Each team can have up to four members.
